MEMBER EXERCISE CLASSES
SILVERSNEAKERS CIRCUIT CLASS
Combine fun & fitness to increase cardiovascular & muscular endurance power with this standing circuit workout. Hand weights, elastic tubing, and a ball are used for upper body strength with intervals of low-impact choreography. Class is held every Thursday at 9AM. This class is SilverSneaker eligible.
Move your body through a series of seated & standing yoga poses. Increase flexibility and balance. No postures are done on the floor. Class is held every Tuesday & Thursday 10AM. This class is SilverSneaker eligible.
SILVERSNEAKERS CLASSIC CLASS
Have fun and move to the music while doing various exercises to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living. Hand weights, elastic tubing, and a ball are used for resistance. Exercises are done seated & standing. Class is held every Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 11AM This class is SilverSneaker eligible.
MIX IT UP CARDIO CLASS
Get moving in this low-impact cardio class. Weights, elastic tubing, and balls are used for strength work. Class is held is every Tuesday at 9AM. This class is SilversSneaker eligible.
BELLY BUSTER CLASS
Similar to Cardio Sculpt this class incorporates cardio intervals with core and lower body strength exercises. Class is held every Wednesday at 9AM & 10AM. First and second sessions are the same class, choose the session time that is best for you.This class is SilverSneaker eligible.
CARDIO SCULPT CLASS
This class incorporates hand weights, elastic tubing, and a a ball for a full body muscular workout with intervals of cardio to increase heart rate. All exercises are done standing. Class is held every Monday & Friday at 9AM & 10AM. First and second sessions are the same class, choose the session time that is best for you. This class is SilverSneaker eligible.
Chair volleyball class is played much like the regular game with a few changes. Groups play on each side, sitting in two rows of 3, a beach ball is used instead of the regulation volleyball and players must sit in a chair and comply with the "one cheek on the seat" rule while playing. Chair volleyball is a much greater workout than people would expect considering it is not a strenuous activity. Class is held every Tuesday & Thursday at 11:00AM and Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 1PM. This class is SilverSneaker eligible.
NON-MEMBER EXERCISE CLASSES
Do you enjoy catchy tunes and dancing without all the crazy footwork? Then line dancing is right up your alley. This activity is overseen by an instructor who provides music and steps to follow. This class is Silversneakers eligible. Activity is open to all Center members. No sign up necessary. Instructor donations are welcome. Class is held Wednesdays & Fridays 10AM-11AM.
PARKINSON'S EXERCISE CLASS
Duane Hardek holds a weekly class on Thursdays 11AM-12PM that helps Parkinson's patients improve flexibility, balance, stamina, and strength. Cost is $10 per session. Please register by contacting Duane at 412-607-3544 or firstname.lastname@example.org
